Intuition, “inner knowing” is the innate ability to understand or know something instantly, without using conscious reasoning. In western linear thought it is often referred to as ‘a gut feeling’, instinctive awareness, ESP – extra sensory perception, or described as the unconscious mind rapidly processing information.
In esoteric traditions, intuition is often referred to as the ‘gift’ – sometimes implying some people have the gift of intuition and some people don’t. Familiar terms of this perspective include: clairvoyance (clear seeing), clairaudience (clear hearing), clairsentience (clear knowing/sensing). People sometimes use the following labels for people who offer these skills as a professions – mediums, seers, reader, psychic, intuitive. A person offering these service may use tools, or may use no tools.

In an Indigenous, spiralist way of knowing, it is understood that we, as humans, have the innate ability to communicate with all that is within us, and communicate with all around us (the Creator, all living beings, the Earth, the Universe, our Ancestors). In this perspective, communication is available to all people – as it is natural to all people. Some people may have a more developed ability than others to communicate because they practice, use it more and put effort in to developing their skills. There is a recognition that these people use all of their senses and feelings to communicate. Also, there is a recognition for the need for methodology and protocol for best communication, as people or living beings (in any part of the Universe) may attempt to exert their personal power over others. Thus, the methodology, discrimination and protocol is in place to ensure a code of ethics and always maintaining balance for all living beings.

Core concepts of intuition/communication include:
• We, as humans, are naturally ‘hard-wired’ and ‘soft-wired’ for intuition
• Intuitive abilities can be practiced, expanded and evolved. Our intuitive/communication grow and evolve as we do.
• Intuitive abilities/communication are often a form of communication which is destroyed when human oppressors want to control another population of people. Thus, many people do not believe intuition/communication is a ‘valid’ skill because of linear science, religious and cultural ideation.

Sandi was born communicating with the world within her, the world around her and all living beings. Early in life, she realized what she ‘knew’ and ‘spoke’ was not always accepted by others. A drive for self-protection has her turn the volume down on her communication/intuition abilities. As she was not being true to herself – this resulted in imbalance across her whole being, manifesting in physical illness to ‘catch her attention’. Then began a quest to be all she is. She completed her western training with Lori Wilson of InnerAccess 101, where she also taught Intuition and Channelling and Medical Intuition programming. She immediately re-established connection and communication with her Ancestors, Elders and the world around her. Her Ancestors took her training into the realm of her Indigenous Medicine ways, ensuring ethical conduct and vast discriminative training. During her death and return to her body, she was taken into the realm of the Ancient Ones and ‘Temple’. Here she was trained in all else she needed to learn about the human body so she could fully regenerate her body. During the process she recognized the Ancient Ones were always with her – it was her that wasn’t listening. On a daily basis, she is trained by the human body and human being itself as the world of intuition is woven into her daily life.
